Services

Data management

Drawing on its expertise, GAIA can help you formalize your needs based on your research or industry challenges, your existing workflows, and the data you have or can acquire. GAIA offers the following services:

  • Creation of dedicated databases (text, geolocated data, time series, 2D or multichannel images, 3D imaging, MRI, CT scans, etc.)
  • Design of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines
  • Data optimization to ensure they are usable: queryable, accessible, reusable, and interoperable (FAIR principles)
  • Data security, including sensitive medical data or defense-classified information

Artificial Intelligence

GAIA provides a comprehensive set of AI services, ranging from needs assessment to training custom analysis and prediction models tailored to your data. These services cover all types of data—text, images, videos, time series (sensor, financial, GPS…), as well as satellite or medical data (CT, MRI, 3D imaging):

  • Training and deployment of models (classification, regression)
  • Model optimization (compression, efficiency, speed)
  • Segmentation, object detection, and video tracking
  • Analysis of text, audio, 2D/3D images, video, time series, etc
  • Interactive, visualization and chat interfaces
  • AI-powered information retrieval and monitoring tools, with guaranteed confidentiality
  • Physics-informed AI: accelerating scientific discovery, innovation in engineering, and new materials development
  • Anomaly detection and clustering

3D digitization and processing

GAIA provides partners with a range of 3D acquisition and digitization systems (LiDAR, structured-light scanners, photogrammetry), along with equipment dedicated to virtual reality such as motion-capture suits, eye-tracking devices, and motion-tracking systems.

Based on this equipment, we offer the following services:

  • 3D digitization of objects or buildings (sculptures, trees, people, industrial parts, production workshops), delivered as point clouds or meshes
  • Development of proofs of concept (POCs) and software solutions for automated measurements on digitized objects
  • Creation of custom 3D analysis pipelines (segmentation, mesh processing, temporal tracking, etc.)
  • Design of advanced algorithms for 3D data processing

Virtual and immersive reality

GAIA also operates several virtual-reality environments, including a 4 m × 4 m × 2 m immersive CAVE, a 2 m × 2 m dual-screen workbench, a haptic feedback system, and an infrared tracking system.

Our virtual-reality services include:

  • Creation of virtual environments and VR scenarios
  • Development of custom applications for the CAVE, including 1:1-scale immersive visualization and 3D interaction
  • Integration of custom 3D elements into the CAVE
  • Design and management of psychological or industrial VR experiments (using VR headsets or the CAVE)
  • Proposals for innovative VR visualization solutions
  • Support and guidance for deploying VR technologies and hardware

Motion capture and ergonomics

GAIA also conducts ergonomic studies based on real-world data, including:

  • Motion capture for recording and analysing human movement
  • Gesture and ergonomics assessments, particularly in industrial environments
  • Design of user questionnaires and statistical analysis for evaluating VR-based experiences
