Platforms: supporting research and knowledge transfer

ICube has developed a network of seven technological platforms designed to support its research activities:

Each platform is built around a specific area of scientific expertise and provides dedicated digital and experimental resources. They are managed by scientific and technical staff, in close connection with the research teams and the laboratory’s leadership.

These platforms support ICube members in carrying out their research, help consolidate and share technical know-how, and facilitate the dissemination of research results by making them accessible and useful to both academic partners and socio-economic actors. The platforms also offer their services to external partners.

Connected locally, impacting globally

All of the laboratory’s platforms are part of CORTECS, the network of scientific research and service platforms of the University of Strasbourg, CNRS, and INSERM. This affiliation recognizes quality of service, established scientific and technical expertise, and a strong commitment to collaboration.

The platforms are also actively engaged in national research infrastructures: BiGEst-ICube in the French Institute of Bioinformatics, C3Fab in Renatech+, Inetlab in Slices-FR (Scientific Large Scale Infrastructure for Computing/Communication Experimental Studies – France), IRIS in Robotex2.0 and France Life Imaging, and SERTIT in the Data terra research infrastructure. Participation in these networks allows these platforms to collaborate with other laboratories and partners and so share their expertise, ressources and state of the art equipment. In addition, this allows the platforms to belong to other structures, such as the GIS IBISA, which coordinate support for research infrastructures in biology and healthcare.

The impact of our platforms extends from a national to international level: SERTIT is recognized across Europe for its Rapid Mapping activities within the Copernicus network, whereas Inetlab contributes to the European research infrastructure Slices-RI through Slices-FR.
