Diversity and inclusion

ICube, committed to equality, respect, and inclusion

For many years, ICube has pursued an active policy in support of equality, in partnership with the equality network of the Alsace delegation of the CNRS and the Université de Strasbourg.

The laboratory relies on three equality representatives who are closely involved in the life of the unit and work in coordination with the regional delegation.
ICube also supports initiatives promoting women in scientific careers, in collaboration with the Jardin des Sciences of the University of Strasbourg and the association Femmes et Sciences.

The ICube equality committee brings together members of the laboratory from all professional backgrounds.
It includes researchers, engineers, PhD students, as well as administrative and technical staff.

The committee works collectively to reflect, take action and promote equality between women and men in research, teaching and professional life within the laboratory.

The equality committee works to:

  • promote balanced representation in recruitment, career progression and decision-making bodies;
  • address gender-related stereotypes that hinder scientific careers;
  • raise awareness through campaigns, events and training activities;
  • support professional development by recognising and valuing diversity.

Our focus areas and commitments

The group addresses key issues aimed at fostering a respectful and inclusive working environment.
Its actions focus on:

  • gender equality
  • gender-based and sexual violence
  • support for staff with caregiving responsibilities
  • parenthood.

These topics are addressed in a cross-cutting manner, through a collective and committed approach.
