Title : Optically addressed light modulators using an organic photovoltaic layer

Abstract : Fabrication and characterization of optical gates comprising liquid crystals (LCs) confined between two electrodes and incorporation of organic photovoltaic layers enabling the design of self-sustained OASLMs.

This thesis was directed by Thomas Heiser, professor at the University of Strasbourg and at the ICUbe lab.

The jury is comprised of : Mr NEYTS Kristiaan (reviewer) Professor at the Ghent University in Belgium and Mr COLSMANN Alexander (reviewerDoctor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany and Mrs KACZMAREK Malgosia Professeur Professor at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, Mr ADAM Philippe Doctor at the RDS Photonique, DGA/MRIS in France et Mr MERY Stéphane, researcher at the IPCMS (CNRS) in France.

The PhD defense, in english, will take place on Friday 8th december 2017 at 2.00pm in the room Grünewald of the Cronenbourg Campus in Strasbourg (Building 25).
