Title: A priori and a posteriori estimates of finite element schemes and development of commands for some dynamic phenomena

Abstract: This HDR presents a synthesis of my scientific contributions and outlines future research perspectives structured around two complementary themes: the development and analysis of finite element numerical schemes, and the design and experimental validation of control strategies for dynamic systems. The first theme centers on methodological advances in computational mechanics, including the introduction of the φ-FEM method—an immersed boundary finite element approach that achieves optimal accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency—and further studies on a posteriori error estimation and mesh quality analysis. The second theme focuses on applications of control theory in biomedical contexts, ranging from closed-loop neurostimulation for individualized treatment to autonomous endovascular navigation and ecological population control models. In a concluding part, I will present broader research perspectives toward patient-specific computational modeling and medical system optimization, with ongoing and planned projects in soft tissue simulation, shape optimization for biomedical devices, and treatment personalization through digital twins.

The jury will be composed of:
